CTE Rajasthan Chapter every year organizes a seminar or conference. In this series this time we have organized a National Seminar on the theme ‘Teaching: a profession and a Mission’ on 25th & 26th April 2014 in collaboration of school of education, Jaipur National University, Jaipur. Prof. Kamla Vashisth President CTE Rajasthan Chapter was the convener of this seminar. Dr. D. R Vij National President and Dr. Nilima Bhagwati National Secretary were inspiring & motivating Rajasthan Chapter since the inception of this seminar. About 300 delegates including resource person from all over the country witnessed this National event.
The Inaugural address of the seminar was given by chief electoral officer of Rajasthan shri Ashok Jain and welcome address was delivered by Dr. Sandeep Bakshi Chancellor, Jaipur National University, Jaipur. Souvenir was released on this occasion by the Dais. Keynote speaker was Prof. J.S. Dhillon Dean, Faculty of Education from Gurunanak University, Amritsar. His address was galvanizing. He addressed that teaching is the most respectable profession & Teacher is at the apex. He said that the teaching profession is in crisis almost everywhere in country. The pursuit of excellence in teacher education is an ongoing process. Special lecture was given by Prof. Ummed Singh UNSG University, Surat.
CTE Vice President ( North Region), Madam Satinder Dhillon, Secretary (Punjab Chapter), Dr. S.P. Khanna, Prof. Rita Arora, Head UOR , Prof. Radha Rani Saxena, Head Gyanvihar University make their benign presence in two days National Seminar. Life members of CTE make this event successful. CTE Presidents, Vice President& Secretary Chaired the technical sessions. Technical sessions were followed by cultural eve. Madam Dhillon was the guest of honour in cultural eve. All the delegates enjoyed the utmost zeal of the performers who presented the different flavors of India in form of Rajasthani, Punjabi, Gujarati and Marathi dance. Second day of the seminar started with technical sessions Release of Souvenir Deliberation seems to be interesting Enjoying the cultural Eve Welcome National Seminar 2014 which were followed by Dialogue session, the heart of the seminar. This session was initiated by Prof. kamla Vashisth & Dr. Rishikesh Mishra. Prof. Satinder Dhillon actively answered the question of participants. Other experts were also there to satieties the curiosity of the audience. At last was valedictory session which was chaired by Dr. Vimal Prasad Agarwal, secretary Bhartiya Shikshak Samiti & former chairman R.B.S.E. He deliberated about the challenges in Teacher Education.
On this occasion a veteran teacher educator Prof. Usha Rao from Mumbai, CTE life member was felicitated by Rajasthan Chapter. Prof. Kamla Vashisth felicitated Prof. Usha Rao by presenting a shawl & gift as token of love and gratitude. Dr. Preeti Pandey secretary, Rajasthan Chapter cited her valuable work in the area of teacher education along with her awards. Best paper award was bestowed to Dr. Aksha Shukla from Gujarat & Dr. Sudhir from Ladnun in teacher’s category. In student category all the awards were grabbed by research scholars. Navneet from Amritsar, Pranjal from bundelkhand, Daljeet from Chandigarh and Mayura from Chittorgarh were awarded by guest of honour Prof. Usha Rao.
The valedictory session was accomplished by proposing vote of thanks by President CTE Rajasthan Chapter. After that all the delegates relished the Rajasthani food. Reflection of participants & analysis of feedback revealed that the event was a great success
